They offered me $8800 total for the car (+an extra 300 bucks for additional things- such as me needing a rental car through the process)- with an offer to buy it back for $800 dollars (Stage 4~ish TTz), so obviously I done what everyone else would do in that situation and bought the vehicle back. I had more than $800 dollars into mods, so that by itself was a smart move obviously. It had rearend damage and so I figured I could sell the car for someone who was looking for a TT swap complete. In the end I received $8000 for the car- I stripped out all the upgrades and sold the complete car on eBay for $4000 afterwords. I paid $6k initially so I could not complain :) But like Zengineer said, the forums are not a valid reference, I just figured I would post because our vehicles were almost identical. Stand your ground and make sure you get the right amount that you want. Fortunately I was offered a good amount from the beginning.
